Coordinators: Rosa San Segundo and Celia López Ongil (Carlos III University of Madrid)

Proposal text:

Gender, Feminist and Women's Studies have introduced important theoretical contributions to scientific knowledge without which it would be impossible to understand the reality that surrounds us. Among the most important contributions to scientific knowledge is the consolidation of the gender category and feminist epistemology as a way to a more inclusive and less segregationist science. An essential analysis tool to understand the processes of inequality between men and women, and the development of a critical point of view that questions the traditional and androcentric way of doing science, presented itself as objective and with universal validity. One of the areas in which the application of the gender perspective is being more prolific is the technological and scientific development of the Internet of Things (IoT).

The Feminist Technoscience Studies (FTS) are confirming that the new digital technologies and artificial intelligence brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution are biased in terms of gender, sex, work, class, ethnicity, (dis) ability, and therefore, it is done An approach to new technologies and R & D & I from a gender perspective that does not exclude women or have repercussions on greater re-victimization and violence through technologies is essential. In a society where the application of the Internet of Things (IoT) in practically all areas of life is increasing, the challenge of technological development should be conceived as a tool that serves to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 5 "Gender equality" and allow the eradication of violence suffered by women for the mere fact of being.

In this call for papers, he makes a call for research articles, articles with a methodological approach, theoretical essays, theoretical-conceptual review articles and technological developments on the following thematic lines (among others):
