Emergency excavation work undertaken in the city of Palencia in 1994 revealed the remains of an important domus, judging from the materials uncovered. This present study provides a sample of the pictorial fragments and stuccos which reflect its ornamental richness, in particular of its triclinium. The pictorial decoration evidences a wide repertoire, ranging from marble imitations at the stone plinths to different types of candelabra in the inter-panels, in addition to other vegetable motifs or those of architectural inspiration. There ensemble of stuccos covers a broad array, prominent amongst which are those of an architectural nature, together with others that display simple ornamental features as well as several masks.
