In this paper, we analyze Ricardo Piglia's diaries published to date, Años de formación (2015) and Los años felices (2016), with the intention of highlighting the obsession that underlies and articulates his poetics: the search for the ways to narrate the experience. By reading these diaries, the reader will be able to discover the initial form of the Piglian writing and how the historical and political coordinates of the writer are related to the forms of writing, that is, to the ways of narrating.
