Abstract

This paper undertakes a comparative analysis of the unpublished genetic materials titled San Luis and the Aubian tragedy San Juan, with the aim of demonstrating how the affinities between both titles enable us to regard the former as a pre-text of the latter. Furthermore, it explores how these materials engage in dialogue not only with other works composed by the author in France at the onset of his Republican exile but also with historical events contemporaneous with their writing.
