Resumen

El cáncer de mama (CM) es actualmente la segunda neoplasia más frecuente a nivel global, siendo con diferencia el tumor más frecuentemente diagnosticado en mujeres. Aparte de su elevada incidencia, la mortalidad por cáncer de mama supone la quinta causa global de muerte por cáncer. Esta elevada incidencia y mortalidad, añadido a la más difícil de calcular morbilidad que genera y costes sanitarios conlleva la necesidad de reducir la incidencia y la mortalidad. ¿Es la mamografía una buena médida?
