We take advantage of this number, special in many ways, to get a little out of the ordinary. We will begin by commenting on scenes from an animated film that is not aimed at the early childhood, Only yesterday, but which will allow us to reflect as teachers. What math are we teaching? How do we do it? Is it consistent with the idea we have in mind? What beliefs about mathematics and mathematics and its learning are we forging with our work? More questions than answers about the issues of yesterday, which are also those of today, especially in contexts of curricular change, such as the one currently being experienced in Spain. We complement the article with a review of the previous work within the section and a call to the participation of readers.
