Esta investigación tiene el objetivo de revisar las políticas y estrategias de los países europeos en la Sociedad de Naciones respecto a las colonias y a los nuevos mandatos africanos establecidos tras la Gran Guerra. De igual modo, se analiza la reacción de las poblaciones africanas ante esta situación y su agencia para responder a sus intereses en el seno de la Sociedad de Naciones. Para ello se analizan los casos de Etiopía y su acción frente a la agresión de Italia y el de los mandatos de Togolandia, Camerún y Namibia. Para realizar esta investigación se ha recurrido al Archivo de la Sociedad de Naciones.
