Possibilities and limits offered by the heuristic observation logic as method for obtaining information and appropriate decisions were analyzed. Current non-algorithmic logics in the construction of thought in three aspects are exposed: (1) circular observational logic (systemic); (2) the heuristic method in which the steps of an observation are emphasized; and (3) the possibilities and limits of the heuristic from the viewpoint of Niklas Luhmann's systemic self-referential observation logic and second-orderobservation. As conclusions, an operative logical construction in the self-referential perspective is outlined and that has the capacity to include the perspective of obtaining heuristic systemic knowledge with the hypotheses formulation.
