Religion and new technologies at the service of Nigerian networks for the sexual exploitation of migrant girls.

Abstract

In transnational female migrations, we find an extremely vulnerable group of women and girls who lack all kinds of resources, which makes them dependent on mafia organizations. Pleasant sexuality becomes oppression and violence, and the expression of a phallocratic power relations involved in sexual exploitation networks. Crimen organizations are currently adapting their recruitment strategies to digital realm and creating transnational lobbies since the capital-patriarchal system itself facilitates and promotes their enlargement.
