This article collects the most relevant information until today to understand the influence of the psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud on Emilio Prados. That information comes both from previous research and from the author's own texts, and either deals with the subject explicitly, or only indirectly but necessary for its full understanding. Information is searched both in biographical (his childhood and adolescence, the relationship with his brother, his homosexuality) and literary aspects (his surrealistic aesthetic, the writing of the Diario íntimo or the literary education during his European trips), also looking for the link between all of them.
