Author Guidelines

Publication rules:

Anales de la Real Academia de Medicina y Cirugía de Valladolid will consider for publication the papers presented in Scientific Sessions of the Institution. It may also publish editorials, collaborative work that has been requested by the Governing Board, and information that is considered of interest.

The Governing Board, through the Editorial Committee, may introduce the modifications it deems appropriate.

The Royal Academy and publishers decline any responsibility derived from the content of the published works, as well as the statements made in them, an exclusive reflection of the opinion of their authors.

PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPTS

The articles published at Anales de la Real Academia de Medicina y Cirugía de Valladolid will have a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). The journal allows the authors to retain publishing rights. Authors may reprint their articles in other media without having to request authorization, provided they indicate that the article was originally published in Anales de la Real Academia de Medicina y Cirugía de Valladolid.

Articles, which must be original and unpublished, must conform to the template that can be downloaded at the following link: article format. Graphic contents and accompanying illustrations should be inserted in the corresponding place in the text. : Article formating. We ask the authors to copy the parts of the article and paste them on top of the corresponding parts of the template, maintaining the format of the template in all its aspects (logos, title, summaries and data, sizes and fonts, headings, paragraphs, quotes bleeds, footnotes, final bibliography, headers and footers and page numbers). In this way, the session will acquire a format that will facilitate its layout.

The author is responsible for the authorship and originality of the work submitted, confirming publishing rights of any images included.

Reviews/notes must follow the template that can be downloaded at the following link: review format.

In the right column of the page web you will find the "Make a submission" label, which you can click to start sending your work (article or book review). The system will guide you to complete the shipment. To submit an article, in the "Step 3. Introduction of submission metadata", do not forget to indicate the author's name and your address of email, and include the title of the article, your keywords and abstracts in Spanish and English. To do this, select the "Spanish" language in the box that appears at the top of the page and include the data in Spanish; then, select the English language in the same box and enter data in English. You must also fill the box "Affiliation", indicating the name and the mailing address of your institution and your academic category.

Bibliography

It will be referred to in order of appearance in the text, with correlative numbering, in Arabic numerals, to the line and in parentheses.

Each bibliographic citation will follow the following examples and scores:

Article:

Surname and full first name of all authors.

— Full title of the work in the original language.

— Name of the Journal in which it is published, in abbreviations accepted internationally.

— Year of publication; Volume: Initial and final pages of the work, separated by a hyphen.

The obituary sessions may be written in Spanish or in English after conforming to the following format: session format. We ask authors to copy the parts of their obituary session and paste them on top of the corresponding parts of the template, maintaining the format of the template in all its aspects (logos, title, sizes and fonts, paragraphs, headers and footers and page numbers). In this way, the session will acquire a format that will facilitate its layout.

  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the "Author Guidelines" that appear in "About the journal."
