Abstract

Medicine, Anatomy, and Art have always been closely related to each other. In this way, inspired by one of Rembrandt’s anatomy lessons, we have made this replica or recreation, approximately 50% of its original dimensions and with different faces, representing prestigious and renowned colleagues, stomatologist physicians and professors from different Spanish cities who, at that time, were part of the Illustrious General Council of Dentists and Stomatologists of Spain, during the period (1991–1995), the president then being the anatomist Professor Dr. José María Lara Sanz.

All of them currently form a friendship group on WhatsApp whimsically and wittily named “ATORRANTES,” who, at one point, suggested that I make a portrait of the group, and… this was my idea.

We often say and speak of clinical art in medical practice; consequently, wat is art if not the expression of oneself?
