Abstract

This is a review of the essay Ciencia ficción capitalista in which the author, Michel Nieva, explains the connection, since its first texts, between science-fiction literature and technological progress, and the projection of the future towards which we want to progress.

Author Biography

  • Maite Goñi Indurain, , UPV/EHU (España)

    Maite Goñi Indurain holds a degree in Spanish Philology from the UPV/EHU, where she also completed a Master's degree in Comparative Literature and Literary Studies, which gave her access to the doctoral program of the same name. In 2018, she obtained a predoctoral scholarship that allowed her to complete her PhD, which she finally presented in March 2023. Entitled "Dando cuerda al recuerdo: La Guerra Civil española a través de cinco novelas de la memoria del siglo XXI (2001-2010), the thesis consists of an in-depth analysis of the elaboration of the memoirist discourse about the Spanish Civil War in five novels from the first decade of the 2000s. She has participated in numerous national and international conferences and has published several articles in indexed journals and contributions to collective volumes. She is currently an assistant professor of Literary Theory at the UPV/EHU.
