Luis Rosales and Luis Felipe Vivanco: an Heroic Reading of Empires and Disappointments
Abstract
The current article tries to offer a new systematic lecture of the Poesía herocia del Imperio anthology, published between 1941 and 1943 by the Editora Nacional. The poets Luis Rosales and Luis Felipe Vivanco establish an esthetic and political lecture of our aurean literature. This investigation tries to determinate how the publication of Poesía heroica del Imperio affected and organized the Spanish poetic creation in the forties, and the “Escorial group” specifically.
