The Rhetoric of the Myth in Catullus' Carmen 64: A Proposal of Interpretation
Abstract
The aim has treated to make a critical approach, from the Rhetoric to Carmen 64 of Catullus, to present a hypothesis about the function of the mythical episode of Ariadne into the overall poem. In one hand, it would check the suitability of the rhetorical system into the application to the exegesis of Latin literary texts. On the other hand, it exposes that in this episode not only plays the role of eruditio and ornatus, but also their presence is an enrichment in their semiotic levels of significance.Downloads
