Babel. Revista de Libros: Formulate the Own Present Between the Finish and the End
Abstract
This article presents an approach to Babel. Revista de libros, published in Buenos Aires between April 1988 and March 1991, from a particular point of view: the temporality that the magazine builds and discusses to define his own present as a present in crisis. As a way of intervene in the Argentine literary and intellectual field and as a strategy to articulate the readings that it wants to become central, Babel builds a temporality between two epochs, which involves discussing the end of modernity. To see how this temporality is constructed in the magazine, we will take two paths: first, we will analyze the performance of the postmodern discourse in the first two issues of the magazine and, second, we will make an itinerary across a central section of the magazine: the "Dossier".Downloads
