This article explores how the history belongs to demonstrative gender, according to classical Greco-Roman classification, with the aims and proposed modes recommended by Luis de Granada in the late sixteenth. It will be possible to see how Solís’ work reveals it is a panegyric to Hernán Cortés accompanied with both amendments and disrepute of the post mortem testimonial story published in 1632, by Bernal Diaz del Castillo.
