The spread of the Garden-City in Spain melted, in the case of Castile and León, with the regionalist movement in Castile in the second decade of the twentieth century and the efforts of the Castilian bourgeoisie for stimulating the economy of the area, at the same time that they try to solve, at least partially, the problem of housing in Castile. They got few material results from this conjunction and in all the cases, much closer to the development of the Garden-Suburbs than to the ideas of Howard. That happens with the Garden-City of La Castellana in Burgos (Spain), whose origins and evolution updated, are studied and analysed in this article.
