Abstract

This text summarizes the restoration and planning intervention developed in El
Saler meadows sector, which is the coastal line of the lagoon of Valencia, very punished in
the past time by means of the uncontrolled building activity and the natural environment
destruction by a thoughtless urbanization. This process meant to restore the initial
landscape as a first stage, by recovering the natural section of the territory; then, it was
posssible to reconstruct the landscape through a functional structure, based on geometry,
opened to adaptation to that section. The new space system might be able to reconcile the
natural interventions with the touristic use of this area.
