Housing for a healthier city: three design strategies

In the context of the current city and housing’s problems, exposed by the health crisis, three strategies inspired by the residential project of early modernity are proposed. These could be useful today if they are effectively reinterpreted. The article focuses on the basic cell and its combination in narrow-bay buildings, followed by the possibilities of generating wellbeing through the horizontal courtyard and with the concept of “active house”, based on the potential versatility of the domestic space, and its implications for a healthier city.
