The uses of territory and their relationship with the city depend on the prevalent production method. This understood, not from the marxist reduccionism, but as the tecno-social eras propposed by Geddes -through Mumford-, it's a compex that includes the relationships and means of production, but also certain mental constructions and relationship styles with Nature, understood in a broad sense. In terms of urban planning, since it has existed, it has never and will never be able to do anything but give a technical and ideological cohesiveness to those processes.
