Innovative management and financing procedures in urban regeneration and retrofitting projects

Assuming that funding is a key issue to boost residential retrofitting and urban regeneration in the current economic context, a number of cases, national and international are analyzed in order to assess what new approaches can be used to build innovative forms of management and financing, to encourage such interventions in the Spanish context. From the joint analysis of these cases, a set of recommendations are defined to improve the management and financing of such operations, summarized around three axes: stable and flexible public financing framework, complementary public and private funding, and emphasis on communication, mediation and facilitation of processes.
