Diagrams: A tool for the construction of number in Early Childhood classrooms

From an early age, even before they start school, children / as the numbers used, conventional or not, but does not understand. In early childhood education should be offered all kinds of resources and tools to facilitate understanding the number, as it is at this stage that lays the foundation for future math skills important in adulthood. Therefore it is important to reflect on the need for a new way of learning, which are not limited to learning basic math concepts, but understand them and apply them to know. This paper deals with the possibilities of the diagrams to facilitate the construction and understanding of the number, and the use that can be done in a classroom for five years.
