This article pursues the study of the change on the military cavaliere in the Hispanic military thought as result of the “Military Revolution”. The world of the ideas allows us to know the limits of the intellectual debate in Modern Age and how some concepts could erode the traditional discourse in the army and society. The paper studies how the variation in the military thought, caused by the modernization of war, transformed the infantry officers’ way of thinking in the 18th century.
