The lawsuit that began in 1765 as consequence of the death of the count of Amarante offers us an exceptional concentration of sources for the study of the books and readings of his widow, the Countess of Eril: probate inventories, correspondence, records and interrogations. Our objective is to know the size and spaces of the library, its formation and, above all, the contents of the books.
