This paper studies the elaboration of the canonical rules concerning children when one of their parents or grandparents converts to Christianity. It focuses on the process of adjustment of the norms inherited from medieval times in the context of the new challenges of the Catholic Reform: the dynamics of the conversion of the Jewish minorities and the missionary spreading of Christianity.
