Facing the fate: fortune, providence and morality in castilian treatises of Late Middle Ages

Some late medieval authors discuss the fortune using classical treatise writers, Church Fathers, scholastic philosophers and Italians humanists. This study analyzes their writings, focusing on the meaning given to fortune and fate, their relation to the individual moral behavior and the pieces of advice that are given to prevent misadventures.
