College student brawls and violence in Salamanca Baroque period: 1598-1625

This article discusses some instances of violence at the University of Salamanca during the Baroque period. The analysis of these Events allow us to suggest new conclusions which run counter to the traditional historiography, as well as to revise the concept of violence in the Early Modern Age.
