The world-famous Cirque du Soleil, based in the Canadian city of Montreal, presents, in all its shows, a very varied compendium of international artists who do not always understand or speak English or French fluently. The exercise of interpretation then becomes essential and, under these circumstances, something very peculiar. For this reason, this interview gathers experiences and anecdotes of two interpreters with great experience in the exercise of their profession for this institution dedicated to art and entertainment, in a place where interpretation is much more than mere interpretation. We are speaking with Venezuelan Mayra Parra and Brazilian Sonia Fernandes. It is an honor for Hermēneus to be able to record their testimonies.
