The history and evolution of an auxiliary unit of the Roman army of Hispanic origin is analyzed, the Cohors IV Callaecorum Lucensium equitata, we know almost exclusively through Diplomata militaris. It was created after the serious setback Roman Rhandeia (62 a. D.) and lasted until the expeditio Parthica of Lucius Verus.
