I review some aspects of the presence of Julius Caesar and the young Octavian (the future Augustus) in Hispania, in the summer of 45 BC., following the text of Nicolaus of Damascus, Bíos Καίσαρος, 23-27. We make a proposal of the itinerary followed by Caesar during the Bellum Hispaniense, and also after finishing this one in the battle of Munda (March 17, year 45). Interesting are the paragraphs of Nicolaus that narrate the presence in Hispania of Octavian and its encounter with Caesar, finished the war, in Κάλπια/Carteia. The audiences that took place weeks later in Carthago Nova in the summer of the 45 have a special interest. There some quaestiones were presented to Caesar by a legation of the Saguntines.
