Contribution to the analysis of the economy of the northern Oretania in Roman times

The basic objetive of this paper consists of approaching the different economic sectors prevail-ing in the territory of northern Oretania in the Roman era. Thus, it takes into account in the first place, the agrarian sector, as well as the very profitable mining production around the important district of Sisapo. Attention is also paid to the commercial activities and to the monetary circulation, which would be favoured through the road structure existing in this territory that, due to its position, would act as a bridge between the Bética and the Tarraconense .
