The objective of this paper consists of the study of the night as a strategic resource in the context of Roman-Punic conflicts in the Iberian Peninsula, taking into account the references that the classical sources provide in this respect. Hence, from the set of direct references, it can be affirmed that, in a wide majority, the night is used within the military activities as a tactical resource; it is also mentioned in relation to activities of a diplomatic character, but in a much lesser proportion.
