This paper analyses both ὀλίγου and its syntactic constructions in Homer, Aristophanes, Lysias, Demosthenes and Plutarch. It aims to describe their semantic, syntactic and pragmatic features in their use as approximative expressions. It also analyses the possible functional differences shown in the selected material.
