This article aims to ascertain the most probable date for the publication of the edition of Virgil's Aeneid by Gabriel Pou, a Catalan bookseller and printer in Barcelona. It is the first edition published in Spain. Its colophon erroneously gives June 23rd 1405 as its date of publication. After reviewing the different ideas that several scholars have given on this subject, the paper clarifies some issues about the edition, based on the data provided by the official documents, as well as by the typographical analysis of the works by the Catalan editor himself, as well as those works produced by other printers
