The review addresses the main theme of the book Las drogas sagradas en la Antigüedad (2022), by Carlos Wagner. The main objective is to show the most remarkable aspects and the treatment given to elements of plant origin throughout different ancient traditions (Latin, Greek, Indian, Iranian, etc.), as their presence is manifested in areas such as religion and worship, but also in literature and art.
