Sallust’s Incunabulum Printed in Valencia in 1475: an Aproximation to its Textual Form Regarding Ancient Tradition
Keywords:
Incunabulum, Valencia, Sallust, PalmartAbstract
The incunabulum of Sallust’s monographs was printed in Valencia at Lamberto Palmart’s workshops in 1475, the same year in which another incunabulum with the same works was released in Barcelona by John of Salzburg and Paulus Hurus. Both editions are the first incunabula produced in Spain in the field of Classical Latin Literature. This paper aims to offer an approximation to the textual form of the incunabulum of Valencia to place it within the context of the manuscript tradition of Sallust’s monographs.
