¿Διόνυσος Μελανθίς o Διόνυσος Μελάναιγς? Conón, Narr. 39 (= Focio, Bibl. 138b. 20)
Abstract
In relation to the myth of Melanthus and Xanthus Conon (Narr. 39) refers to a epiklesis of Dionysus. This paper defends the lectio transmitted in the mss.,Μελανθίς / Μελανθίδης, against the emendation Μελάναιγις adopted in recent editions of Conon, as epitomized by Photius.
