He myth continues to question us today, as always, about the human condition with unfathomable depth and radicality. But what is the myth? Where is the myth? What essential features constitute it? And, consequently, what components must it have so that it can, strictly speaking, be considered a myth? The enormous and brilliant work Cultural Mythoscriticism will confront these questions. A definition of myth, written by Professor José Manuel Losada, in which its author presents with careful scientific rigor a new discipline: cultural mythocriticism, from which he addresses both the components that make up the structure of the myth, as well as its essence. Published in 2022, this work collects the research work of a lifetime, and is the result of "an inspiration and a need that goes back thirty-three years" (p. 5). Because — as the author himself points out — “it was urgent to build a solid framework on a conception that was not exclusively artistic, literary or religious, but cultural, holistic, global” (p. 5).
