Searching is to investigate: search practices in the world of the disappearance in Mexico

Searching is a fundamental action in the world of disappearance in Mexico. So much that the disappeared is through the search or not. In this article the search will be analyzed as research practices. Search is to investigate because those who search have to get with techniques and knowledges to restore the existence of the disappeared person. Based on ethnographic observations and interviews with several agents, the article analyzes the search practices, the professions involved in them, the techniques that are implemented and the generation of knowledge that search produces.
