Report about the project and the construction of the Ribes-Queralbs-Núria railway, in the Girona Pyrenees

The research in the documentary collection of the company Ferrocarriles de Montaña a Grandes Grandes Pendientes, S.A. (F.M.G.P.), which is guarded by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (F.G.C.), has revealed the dimension of the project of that company in the Núria valley, which was conceived between 1924 and 1931, and which was partly unknown. Also, it has provided valuable evidence on the working conditions during the construction of the line and other information related to that execution, such as the characteristics of the contractors and suppliers. The work that we present constitutes, therefore, a contribution to knowledge of the planning and execution processes of the Catalan secondary railways
