humanizAS Project: Experience with students of the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Valladolid (2022-2024)

The humanizAS project addresses the early learning of healthcare humanization, an essential competency for the Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics due to the need to build a solid therapeutic alliance. The core methodology is the 'Interview with a Healthcare Professional’, which is implemented in the first year in collaboration with the Professional Association of Dietitians-Nutritionists of Castile and León (CODINUCyL). During the first two years of implementation (2022-2024), 79 students interviewed 16 Dietitians-Nutritionists (93.8% women) with experience ranging from 3 to 30 years. The professionals gave a high level of satisfaction (4.8/5) and utility (4.8/5) rating, as did the students (4.4/5 and 4.5/5, respectively). This activity is validated as a key model for early humanistic training in Dietetics-Nutrition.
