Abstract

This chapter reports the findings of the teaching innovation project HumanizAS, carried out with undergraduate Nursing students at the University of Valladolid. Particular attention is given to the assessment of humanization using the HUMAS scale. The analysis includes interviews with nursing professionals, students’ perceived learning outcomes, and the scores obtained in the scale’s dimensions, in comparison with professional practitioners. The results highlight the importance of incorporating humanization competencies at early stages of training, showing a positive impact on the perception of clinical practice as well as on the development of communication and emotional skills.
