Autofiction and Docufiction as Proposals of Meaning. Cultural Reasons for a Non-Univocal Representation
Keywords:
autofiction, docufiction, ambiguity, investigationAbstract
This paper focuses on the cultural reasons for a new and non-univocal representation of past and present events. Many scholars have censured the value of autofiction and docufiction in contemporary novel, and have denied their potential as tools for critical representation. This paper reevaluates these phenomena of autofiction and docufiction as “proposals of meaning” negotiated between author and reader.
