Discursive Traditions and Max Aub’s Exemplary Crimes
Abstract
The present study shows, through the analysis of the Crímenes ejemplares (Exemplary crimes), the utility of the concept of discursive tradition, which comes from text linguistics, for the classification of literary genres. By determining the structure of Max Aub’s Exemplary crimes and validating their inclusion in a given discursive tradition, it has been possible to argue how the crimes are a reproducible text model, as the reelaborations of the crimes done by some authors prove, and not only another sample of short-short story.Downloads
