This study uses the concept of "Eurotaoism" (Sloterdijk) to approach the poetic production of Jesús Aguado and José Watanabe, where a clear influence of oriental literatures can be perceived. The article investigates how both authors express in their texts the malaise of postmodernity and the nostalgia for a lost origin that is situated in the oriental culture of their choice, that is, the desire to return to that origin and the impossibility of achieving it.
