Abstract: This paper studies the poetry of youth of Dámaso Alonso in Poemas puros. Poemillas de la ciudad from the perspective of space. We will specifically try to clarify whether, as the title of the book indicates, his early works include any urban poetry. Therefore, we will, in the first place, base our investigation on the production of urban poetry written by Alonso´s cotemporaries and the critical and philosophical texts that have studied space from the stylistic and sociological point of view, which will later allow us to analyze the poems from the second part of Alonso´s book
