Alejandra Pizarnik’s Diaries: a Writing in the Threshold
Abstract
This paper suggests an alternative reading of Alejandra Pizarnik’s Diaries, published in 2003 by Lumen. To that end, we will first consider the difficulties of the subgenre "intimate diaries" affiliated with the autobiographical discourse and, more generally, with Literature. Secondly, we will consider the importance of a female writer. Assuming that diaristic writing is a writing on the threshold, we will use Paul de Man’s and Jacques Derrida’s theories about autobiography and will generate a generic counterpoint –in both senses of the term- employing Nora Catelli’s theory.Downloads
