Report on the Seminar “The Integration of Translation in the Development of Audiovisual Projects”

Despite the rapid growth of AVT and the possibilities we have to create inclusive translations, most audiovisual materials are not yet accessible to the blind and the hearing impaired. At the same time, although there is academic interest in this form of translation, we find little research on the relationship between AVT and the accessibility of audiovisual materials. However, fortunately, the ARENA innovation group, coordinated by Talaván Zanón, celebrates an annual seminar in which part of the research of this subject is presented. In this paper, I will analyze these aspects and the seminar held in 2019.
