This paper includes a pilot study carried out during the month of February 2022 in Malaga (Spain) with the aim of analysing to what extent and for which reasons the offer of S.V. of films is increasing in our theaters. The first part of the study contains a quantitative analysis of the data collected during four weeks in all the stable theatres of the province. The second part contains a qualitative analysis based on interviews with the managers of the exhibition companies in which we explore sociological, economic and demographic aspects that may explain the increase in the range of S. V. films.
